FROZEN BEAUTY

A serie reflecting on all the ways we try to capture and freeze the ephemeral nature of life and beauty. We constantly try to freeze droplets of life in memories and art. We immortalise it in the melodies of songs, the verses of poems, the brush strokes of paintings, the captures of photographs. We drown them in wine or oil to preserve them from the natural decay that perishable produce will undergo if we didn’t transform it into something else. We ferment, we salt and smoke, we cook and freeze. We remember, we tell others so they can remember, we write history and create legends in a continue perpetration of our defiance of the merciless flow of time.

A lifestyle serie that reinterprets urban living in the Italian fashion capital. A nostalgic and cinematic outlook on a multifaceted city that happens to be my hometown and a place I have a deep connection to.

Milan is a discreet lady who doesn’t boast about its beauty and richness. Forgive me the personification but, in Italian, cities, like any other noun, have genders and Milan in my ears is an upper class lady who is pretty confident about her means and prospects and really doesn’t need to impress. Yet impress she does, just for the effortless way she carries herself around, for her endless ability of attracting talented and skilful people, to inspire and motivate them to dare fearlessly, achieve more and dream farther.

A visual stroll along winding country roads, over gentle, rolling hills in one of the beautiful corners of Italy: Tuscany. A place of peace and bliss, one of my absolute favourite spots on earth, Tuscany is the one place where man made and nature meet in the most wonderful way. The countryside here has been designed and curated for centuries, resulting in a carefully planned patch work of different cultures, olive gardens and vineyards. A place where the sign of civilisation are still a good addition to the landscape, instead of being an invasive, destructive force.
